Framework Agreement for Engineering, Procurement Services and Construction Management (EPCM) for Surface Facilities

Client: OMV Petrom, Romania
Country: ROMANIA
Year: 2011-2015
Contract Value: 40,000,000.00 €
Many of the Romanian onshore fields have been in operation since the middle of the last century. During this period, the operations were executed with proven technologies and processes without putting particular emphasis on continuous improvements, as a result by the early 2000s, many of the existing facilities, technologies, and processes in the fields were outdated and not complying with latest norms / standards. To improve the current situation, OMV Petrom decided to initiate several field redevelopment programs (FRDP) for the high potential of onshore and offshore fields in Romania. The primary objectives of the programs were to:

  • Maximize and accelerate incremental oil and/or gas production with enhanced recovery processes,
  • Unlock new reserves with new technology,
  • Improve efficiency of operations and reduce operational expenses,
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations,
  • Improve working environment for personnel according to HSE criteria

Within this important initiative, ENch Group scope of work was to carry out: pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, FEED, detailed design, procurement services and construction management. ENch Group carried out these activities successfully over a total of more than 40 individual projects over the 4 year framework agreement duration, for a total of appoximately 30 million euro in value.
